Exciting news! Chris has been cast in the Amazon Prime crime show Reacher which is going into its fourth season. Based on a book series by Lee Child, the show follows ex-Army military police officer Jack Reacher who now lives a nomadic life, drifting from town to town, helping to uncover conspiracies, solve crimes or bring justice to a corrupt system.
Chris has now officially joined the cast of Reacher Season 4, stepping into the role of Jacob Merrick, a small‑town police officer who becomes Reacher’s key ally. Interesting about this is that Chris’s Fanboys co-star Jay Baruchel had originally been announced in the role only weeks earlier, but exited due to personal reasons. Chris was then rapidly recast to fill the role.
Season 4 is based on the thirteenth Reacher novel, Gone Tomorrow, in which Reacher investigates a suspicious suicide on a New York subway and teams up with Merrick to unravel a dangerous conspiracy involving terrorism and political corruption. Production of season 4 is already in full swing and we have a few behind the scenes photos of Chris on set in our gallery.
In other news, Chris’s first own short film called Cast Away, Sorta is premiering at LA Film Festival this year. Chris himself describes the film as “funny, quirky, ambitious film about a celebrity talent agent stuck at home during Covid lockdown and going full Cast Away” on his Instagram. It co-stars the above mentioned Jay Baruchel and, among others, Alexandra Breckenridge, Anthony Carrigan, Amanda Crew, Karen David, Dan Fogler, Aaron Jennings, Adhir Kalyan, Margarita Levieva, Alan Tudyk and Mae Whitman.
