Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

It still got four seasons, which isn't too bad, I suppose. I haven't followed the ratings, so I don't know how well it did. Presumably not well enough to warrant a 5th season. I just hope it doesn't end in a huge cliffhanger.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Cliffhanger would be so bad. I hate when series end unresolved.

ps. collegues thread and all... did you notice Chris Lowell posting bunch of pics from the Veronica Mars set on his facebook and twitter? big_smile the pics were so cool and some very cute! he so has a crush on Kristen Bell. lol

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Deb. How do we feel about Paul Dano playing a younger version of John Cusack In this movie ? big_smile I'm really loving the movies Paul has been making. Ruby Sparks was just about the best romantic movie I've seen in years big_smile I liked him Looper and Cowboys & Aliens too. Can't wait to see For Ellen and this new one big_smile how big is his part in 12 years a slave? still wondering if I should see that or not.

Not very. If you'll just see the film for him, don't bother. Though I must say, the film itself is worth watching, although you have to be ready to endure the violence. It doesn't hide anything, and there were two scenes where I actually closed my eyes. It's a story that's important to tell, and to be reminded of, and it stays with you for a while.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I've decided I do want to see that movie. I'm sure some parts are going to make me cringe. things like that often do...

I did see For Ellen the other night. it was pretty good. it was amazing to see Paul Dano as a rock musician big_smile he can really stretch himself! big_smile And with the long dark hair as contrast I could really see a lot of the same facial structures on him as Chris has. I mean >>mind blown<< when I realized they have the same nose, cheeks and forehead. lol. they should play brothers.

^ awesome smile  Kickstarter has really changed things.  So many shows that expired years ago could have been made into movies if kickstarter were around. Phenomenal idea!

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Just learned that Chris met up with Dan Fogler last night (5/16/14) at a screening of Dan's movie Don Peyote.  Nice to hear that two of my favorite guys had a chance to hang out and catch up.   smile

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Mary Steenburgen has joined the HBO show, Togetherness.  Which makes me deliriously happy because I LOVE that show.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Paul Dano has this new movie coming out where he shares the lead with John Cusack. I can't wait to see this one. I'm a Paul Dano fan too and always loved John Cusack. I know very little about the band this movie is about so if this movie sucks, I'm very misinformed on them big_smile
